About this site...

This site is broken down into four major sections as listed here on the left.

In the "BOARD INFORMATION" section, you can find information about the board such as who the members are, when they meet, the minutes of its meetings, and the policies, rules and statutes that apply to licensees and the Board.

In the "LICENSURE" section, you can find information about how to apply for the various license types, what the requirements are, what the different license statuses mean and how to verify the licensee's license.

In the "DISCIPLINE" section you can find out about any adverse licensing actions taken by the board and these are listed by year of action and also alphabetically. These actions are updated as frequently as they occur. You can also find out about non-disciplinary actions. You can find detailed instructions on how to file a complaint against a licensee. You can view recent press releases issued by the Board, and you can also access our FAQ page that is specific to disciplinary actions.

In the "ONLINE SERVICES" section, you can find out how to file a complaint against a Board staff member, how to find information about a licensee, how to file a complaint against a license online, and this section also provides a logon page for Pharmacists who wish to verify a Physician Assistant's or Nurse Practioner's schedule II prescribing privileges.

Across the top of our page , you can find links to Maine.Gov, a link to our "site map" and a search box for our website where you can search for any information on the site.

Below the main banner, you can find links to our "Contact Us" page where you can send information to a Board staff member. You can also find links to our "Online Services" page as well as our "Links" page which has links to other medically-oriented sites. There is also a link to our "Forms and Applications" page which contains all the applications and forms found throughout our site. There is also a link to our "Newsletters" page that has copies of our newsletters posted there.

Down the right side of our home page, you find a section on "News Updates" which links to our Press Releases page. Below that is a link to www.VeriDoc.org for physicians who need to verify their licenses to other state boards. Below that you find links to our most commonly requested information and below that are links to commonly requested sites outside of this site.
