Medical Board Rules

1. Licensure by Examination

The Federation Licensing Examination, FLEX, has been adopted by the Board as its standard qualifying examination for licensure;

A. A weighted average of 75 is the passing grade.

B. Applicants are examined during the examination process by number.

C. Sixty (60) days prior to the examination, applications must be completed and on file in the Board office at 100 College Avenue, Waterville, Maine.

D. Any person who violates the integrity of the testing process shall be denied license on the grounds that this is unprofessional conduct. Any person who has committed any of the acts set forth in Section 3282, Subsection 1-5 (A-P) inclusive, may be deemed ineligible for examination and future application.
