To ensure a reasonable degree of uniformity in the Board's consideration of this issue, the board proposed to look at a full range of possible sources of information on accrediting bodies and the residencies they accredit. The board recognizes that in some cases there may be no analogue to ACGME, LCME, RCP's of Canada thus requiring the Board to act as its own accrediting body. Further the Board takes notice of the fact that similar legislation exists in sister states and therefore information may have already been acquired.
